Wires & Kits

Today’s electronic drivetrains put fast, precise and virtually maintenance-free shifting at your fingertips with high-tech components, plus wires and kits to get everything connected. Once you set up the system, you’re pretty much done thinking about it. When making the switch from a mechanical drivetrain, there are a few parts you’ll need in addition to the derailleurs and shifters. There are no more cables to worry about, but you do need a junction box, wires and kits, and other small parts to get the whole system set up.

Electronic component makers such as Shimano make it easy with specially designed bits and pieces to help you mount the battery, connect the shifters to the derailleurs, and do it all in a clean, integrated way that works best with your particular frameset and drivetrain.
