The X- King is a super fast grippy tire. Despite the pronounced studs, the X- King rolls smoothly and very quietly. This light tire has many applications. It can be used as either a front or rear tire in a variety of terrains. The X-King is infused with Continental's Black Chili Compound, which offers a solid grip and is self-cleaning. The shoulder lugs provide absolute stability during high-speed corners. This version of the X-King features two forms of cutting-edge tire technology: Black Chili Compound and ProTection casing.
The ProTection casing is a protective layer that offers equal tread and sidewall protection and is 25% lighter and 30% more puncture resistant than proceeding Conti tires with DuraSkin protection. The ProTection casing provides a Revolution Tubeless Ready bead and exclusively uses the Black Chili compound. In 2007, Black Chili compound hit the market. It has been a hit with cyclists ever since. Black Chili improves tire performance in all areas. It lasts longer, grips better, and rolls faster. It has 26% less rolling resistance, 30% higher grip, and even 5% longer mileage. The Black Chili Compound is only made in Korbach Germany, and the recipe is not shared with any other tire manufacturer.
