The Focus JAM2 Plus is a cutting edge electric mountain bike. Fully loaded with plush RockShox suspension front and rear and Shimano SLX 11-speed shifting, the JAM2 Plus is ready to give you the best ride quality possible. When it comes time to slow down, Shimano’s Deore brakes allow you to control the bike with confidence. Focus also decided to put plus sized tires on this bike to increase traction and control to insane levels.

Besides its elite level build, the JAM2 Plus also features an integrated battery which provides 378 watt-hours of energy. The 378 watt-hour battery may seem slightly smaller than batteries on other eMTBs, but Focus did this to provide riders with a bike that has much better handling characteristics because of its reduced weight. Focus realized that most E-bike rides last between 2 and 2.5 hours and the 378 watt-hour battery is plenty sufficient for that. They believe it's better to ride a very nimble bike that returns home with 10% battery left, then ride a cumbersome bike that returns home with 50% battery left. The Shimano STEPS drive-unit provides three levels of assist including eco, sport, and turbo and the JAM2 also features Focus' Airflow system which provides optimal ventilation for the battery during use.

When designing suspension for their mountain bike range, Focus created the F.O.L.D. linkage design. F.O.L.D. is extremely sensitive in the beginning of its travel but then quickly becomes progressive at the end of its stroke. This means the shock gets stiffer the further into the travel it goes. This type of suspension curve is ideal for E-bikes because their heavy nature leads to suspension bottoming out. The RockShox Deluxe rear shock also accepts volume reducing spacers which makes the shock even more progressive.
