The Assault SLG, one of Reynolds most popular wheels, has been significantly upgraded with Reynolds' Enhanced Swirl Lip Generator technology. Swirl Lip Generator technology uses a lip that is 8x larger than standard SLG, boasting improved aerodynamic performance, effective management of airflow across the rim, and exceptional stability in cross winds. Additionally, the Reynolds's PR3 (Performance Rim 3) rim design pin points three unique areas of the rim (rim hook bead, brake track, and rim profile) and employs a specific carbon fiber and epoxy formula to each. What this does is hone in on the Assault SLG's specifics to achieve the perfect amount of tensile strength, stiffness and elongation.

As the all-weather braking capacity of rim brakes falls inferior to that of disc brakes, and the stopping power of carbon rims fall inferior to that of alloy rims, the Assault SLG Disc wheels completely eliminate rim braking all together in order deliver superior braking power in all conditions. By augmenting stiffness and lightweight of carbon with the stopping power of disc brakes, Reynolds has created a perfect set of wheels for dominating the local cross scene. Additionally, this already impressive wheelset features a new 41 mm depth and 25mm width, also making it an attractive wheelset for exploring service roads and light singletrack.
