With the introduction of Shimano’s new Dura-Ace 12-speed road drivetrain comes an all-new shifter and brake system design. As with the rest of Dura-Ace components its focus is to showcase the bleeding edge of cycling technology optimized to eke out as much pro-level performance as possible. The new lever shape is more ergonomic than ever before, allowing you to comfortably access the Servo Wave levers with their superior modulation. The new shifter paddles utilize the new Di2 protocol to cut down shifting speed dramatically compared to previous versions. With the MONO-BODY caliper construction, the new Dura-Ace caliper is incredibly stiff for even more precise and consistent braking. Of course, these wouldn’t be Dura-Ace components without being made out of a variety of materials, including titanium, carbon fiber, and aluminum to make them as light as possible. The R9270 shift lever and caliper set includes the lever, hydraulic hose, and caliper. As with all new 12-speed Shimano road groupsets, the shift levers use the new wireless Di2 protocol, making the install and setup straightforward and relatively easy.
