Shimano invented SPD, so you wouldn't expect anything but the best from their latest XTR pedal. The PD-M9100 is lighter than previous generations and features an excellent mud-shedding design, so you can ride gnarly terrain without worrying about clogging up your pedals or losing efficiency. The PD-M9100 is the culmination of Shimano's expertise in bearings, pedaling dynamics, and the reliability of SPD. It should come as no surprise that the XTR PD-M9100 pedal continues to be the industry benchmark.
