In a world filled with all mountain bikes built around full suspension designs, there is something primal about a hardtail that is designed to take on truly challenging trails with candor and grace. Enter the Chromag Surface. Chromag honed this big wheel platform into the perfect all mountain machine Designed around a slack head angle, short stays, and the uniquely stiff-but-supple effect of high quality steel, this bike is ready for anything. Being a hardtail, you can efficiently tackle climbs like a champ, but be reassured that this frame will eat up the chunder of a technical descent as well. And, with Boost 148 spacing you can run this bike in either a 27.5"+ or 29" wheel configuration. Build it to your personal preference, or, if you can't decide, build it with both wheelsets so you can pick your poison on any given day.

This custom Jenson build pairs the Surface frame with SRAM's smooth shifting and dependable X01 11 speed drivetrain. With its perfect shifts and wide gear range, these components will see you through the longest backroads and steepest climbs. Shimano XT brakes stop on a dime in any condition. The Rockshox fork sports 140mm of travel and keeps you on point as it gobbles up chunky terrain, giving you the confidence to attack rock rollers and steep chutes. Rounding out this custom trail weapon are the Race Face Aeffect 29" wheels wrapped in Continental rubber, and a Race Face cockpit for superior control and durability.
