What does it take to make the ultimate grip? Just ask DMR and professional Mountain Biker Brendan "Brendog" Fairclough. Together they designed the Deathgrip flangeless grip to work with all types riding, from trail to DH. The Deathgrip combines a waffle and knurl pattern for grip, and mushroom section for comfort. The tapered core allows the use of only an outer lockring, but still holds just as secure as any dual clamp design. The RACE edition is wrapped in a secret super-soft, and tacky compound that ensure ultimate comfort and grip.

I've gone through probably 5 or 6 different brands and variations of grips in the last two years and these are by far my favorite. They're thick and cushion-y enough to keep my hands from cramping but still thin enough so that I feel like I have a real grip. I've gone through a couple of pairs of these and don't think I'll look anywhere else for grips.
I've tried a lot of grips over the years (ODI, Renthal, ESI, Rev, Bontrager) and these are now my favorites for everyday enduro/trail riding. They're comfortable, ensure a deathgrip connection to the bike and I just don't think about my hands when I'm riding. They are soft and I haven't crashed with them yet but I don't think they will last in a crash. Wear from normal use seems to be satisfactory so far. I've got about 10 good rides on them so far and they don't show any wear yet.
Great feel and comformability with the soft compound but I don’t like that at the end of the grips there seems to be baffles that add length to the handlebars. I’ve had to cut down my bars by 10mm on each side to return it to the feel I used to have.
