E*Thirteen’s Helix Plus cassette is a unique cassette in that unlike other 12-speed MTB cassettes, it offers a 9-tooth cog for a top end gear. Just like your typical 12-speed MTB cassette it utilizes a 50-tooth cog for the lowest gear. What does this mean for you? It means you can run a smaller chainring like a 30-tooth chainring and get the same low gearing while also having a top end gear equivalent to a 34x10-tooth setup. You could also run an even higher chainring like a 34 or 36-tooth for a nearly identical high end gearing setup to a gravel bike with a 42x11-tooth configuration. This is perfect for E-MTB riders who often find themselves spinning out. Besides gearing, the E*Thirteen Helix Plus cassette is built to be compatible with both SRAM and Shimano 12-speed drivetrains and is rated for E-bike usage as well. Reduce your drivetrain weight and optimize your gearing to your liking at a lower cost compared to the competition.
