The hitch-mounted bike rack is an extremely useful tool for transporting bikes, however, when you reach your destination, having a bike rack mounted directly behind your trunk makes unpacking any supplies out of the trunk difficult. The answer to this problem is the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Extension. Featuring a swing away extension arm, the Pivot 2 swings the entire bike rack 90 or 120 degrees away from the car, making loading and unloading much more convenient. The Pivot 2 can support up to 250 pounds and has a stainless steel and aluminum thru-axle. When on the road, use the Flatlock cam system to lock the swing arm in place. The Pivot 2 is available in a driver or passenger-side swing arm.
