The Next Steps

From Our Warehouse to Your First Ride

Four steps stand between you and the trail. Here's what each one looks like.

1

We're On It

Your order is with our build team. Every bike gets a professional pre-ship inspection — gears indexed, brakes set, key bolts torqued to spec. Most bikes leave the warehouse within 1–5 business days, depending on the model and the season. We'll email you the moment it's on a truck.

On Its Way

Once your bike ships, we send your tracking number by email. Carrier scans can take up to 24 hours to show movement, so don't worry if the link is quiet at first. Your delivery estimate updates as the box makes its way to you.

Minutes From Your Ride

Your bike arrives about 90% assembled. A few simple steps — bars, front wheel, pedals, seat height — and you're ready to roll. Watch the assembly video for your bike type just below before you start.

Get Out There

Run the pre-ride safety check, set your tire pressure, and go find some road or dirt. This is the part you ordered it for. Tag us when you do — we love seeing where our bikes end up.

The Jenson Promise

Built. Tested. Tuned.

Your bike doesn't arrive in a hundred pieces. Every bike that leaves our warehouse is fully assembled by our techs and inspected end to end. We reimagined the whole delivery experience — from the eco-friendly box to the way we protect your bike in transit — so it shows up quickly, safely, and ready to ride in minutes.

Built

Every bike is fully assembled by our techs and inspected end to end — all parts verified, everything working. We do the work so you can spend your time on the ride.
Tested

A multipoint inspection of the frame and components checks for defects, flaws, and mechanical issues. Not just assembled — tested for function and safety before it ships.
Tuned

Wheel to wheel, everything is torqued, adjusted, and calibrated. Your bike and components arrive dialed, so you can focus on riding — not initial tuning.
Build It

Watch Before You Build

Pick the video for your bike type. Each one walks you through final assembly, step by step, in about the time it takes to finish a coffee.

Flat-bar setup: bars, front wheel, pedals, dropper or seat, and a final safety check.

Not comfortable doing it yourself? Any local bike shop can do a final build for a small fee — or reach a Jenson Gear Advisor and we'll talk you through it.

Before You Start

What You'll Need

Three things make assembly quick and clean. Have them ready before you open the box.

15–20 Min
That's all most final assemblies take, start to finish. No rush — do it once, do it right.
Basic Tools
A multi-tool or set of hex keys, and a torque wrench if you have one. Many bikes ship with the essentials included.
Clear Space
A flat area to work in. No repair stand? No problem — the assembly videos below show how to use your bike box to help hold the bike upright while you finish the build.

Frequently Asked Questions

01How long until my bike ships?
Most bikes leave our warehouse within 1–5 business days. Timing depends on the model and how busy the season is. You'll get an email with tracking the moment it ships.
02How do I track my order?
We email a tracking link as soon as your bike ships. Carrier scans can take up to 24 hours to appear, so a quiet link right after shipping is normal. You can also check your order status anytime in your account.
03Is my bike fully assembled?
Your bike arrives fully built, tested, and tuned by our techs. To finish: open the box, remove the packing materials, install the front wheel and your pedals, and adjust the handlebar. Two notes — on bikes with QR skewers, the front skewer is inside your New Bike Day bag, and XL (or larger) 29ers and road bikes ship with the seatpost removed for safe transit, so just reinstall it after unpacking. The assembly video for your bike type walks through all of it.
04Do I need special tools?
Very few. Depending on your fork, you may need a hex key to install the front wheel. For any fit adjustments, a set of 4mm, 5mm, and 6mm hex keys — and occasionally a T25 Torx — is all it takes. Everything else is already dialed in.
05What if my bike isn't perfectly tuned when it arrives?
We build, test, and tune every bike before it ships, but things can occasionally get bumped in transit. If anything feels off, reach out to our Gear Advisors and they'll help you get it dialed — or any local shop can do a final check for a small fee.
06What if a part is missing or damaged?
Our packing process is built to protect your bike in transit, but if something arrives missing or damaged, we've got your back. Contact a Gear Advisor with your order number and we'll work fast to find the best solution.
07What about returns and warranty?
Bikes are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and Jenson stands behind every order. For the current return window and details, see our returns & warranty page.
