Since the Earth Cruiser back in 1979, Jamis has been producing some of the highest quality bikes out there. They have created some of the most unique and innovative designs in the bike industry, so it's no surprise to us that they continue to make some of the best bikes out there. For riders who are looking to get into cross-country riding, there is the Jamis Dakar XC. The Dakar XC is a 6061 aluminum framed bike with 100mm of travel that is perfect for light trail or cross country riding. It features a RockShox XC30 TK 27.5" coil fork with 100mm of travel and a RockShox Monarch R air shock with 90mm of travel.

The Dakar XC comes with a Shimano drivetrain that is composed of Shimano Acera 3x9 shifters with Shimano M371 front derailleur and Shimano Alivio M4000 rear derailleur. It has a Shimano Acera M3000 crankset with 40/30/22 tooth chainrings and an HG20 9-speed cassette with 11-34 tooth gears that supply plenty of gear ratios to use. Shimano M355 hydraulic disc brakes provide ample stopping power for the trip down the mountain. If you're looking for a bike that has high-end value with a low-end price, this is the bike for you.
