Some of these dirt-friendly drop-bar bikes are also referred to as “all-road” or “X-road.” On the other side of the spectrum, frames with full-suspension setups and flat handlebar designs are, in most cases, categorized as mountain bikes. For versatile performance on a variety of trails, mid-travel (120-150mm) is probably best. And if you love letting it all hang out, pushing limits on aggressive DH terrain, you’ll be looking at long travel bikes.
