I'm using these on my commuter bike. It has a suspension fork up front that made using conventional mounts impossible. These did do the trick and generally look OK, but expect to have to modify the installation hardware for your needs.
They are light and reasonably adjustable. They made an effort to give me all the requisite hardware in the package too.
On the down side, installation is a bit clunky. I'd say this is to be expected with a "universal fit" item. Their included rubber straps look especially bad. I ditched them in favor of some heavy duty zip tie straps. I also had to modify the frame mounts to clear my brakes, and I cut down the metal posts that stabilize the fender so they did not protrude above the fender once adjusted.
Simply put - your satisfaction will depend on your creativity, ingenuity, and patience in their installation. If you can't be trusted with a screwdriver, you're likely to hate them. If you're on a first name basis with the guys at the hardware store, you'll do fine.
CONS: Clunky installation
BEST USES: Suspension forks, Frames wo standard mount
The more I use these fenders the more I like them. I use them on an old road bike with no fender mounts. I don't take the bike out in the rain on purpose, but these fenders work great when the roads are a little bit wet. They are not full fenders and you should not expect the same coverage or protection. They do work as intended and help keep you dry. They install fairly easily (compared to most fenders). I don't take them on and off. I think you could, but it seems like a hassle.
Installation is not good if your frame has mounts for disk break cabling. I plan to try and bend the 4 rods to fit on the frame and use zip ties. Mine came with only one fender support bridge, it's used in front, need one for the back. Protection is superb on wet roads, it's amazing to experience and always makes me smile. They don't flop around like clip-on fenders. There was only one bridge support because it's not needed with front shocks, there are predrilled holes for suspension fork.
Easy install and good coverage on the cheap. As with any fender on the market, you need some creativity and patience to install. Each bike frame is unique. But these PB fenders are so cheap and easy to install! Plus they make your bike look legit and you no longer have to deal with those annoying stripes up your back.
