good for the price
this seat is great for the price. its lightweight compared to other seats in the same price range, and works well on road bikes and fixies. it looks great too. my only gripe with it is that its hard as granite when you first use it and it will leave your butt sore for the first handful of rides. it took about 12 rides before it finally started to soften up.

Not well suited for MTB use
Having seen so many positive reviews I was surprised to be disappointed with this saddle.

I wanted a cheap light-weight saddle for my XC hardtail. It appears well built, it's not heavy, it looked good on the bike, and it's reasonably comfortable to sit on.

The problem I have with it is that I spend a lot of time OUT of the saddle and it's got issues in that department. The finish is somewhat tacky and it grips fabric. It's also rather long compared to my other saddles, a little wider at the base, and has this protruding lip on the back. The combination lends itself to hanging up on my shorts as well as having an uncomfortable side edge against my thigh when I go behind the saddle.

I tweaked around with the height and angle and was never satisfied with it. It was just too easy to get my shorts hung-up and was generally uncomfortable when it would dig into my thigh. Almost had a few spills because of it.

I've relegated it to my commuter since where this is less of an issue.

Your mileage may vary...

Comfortable and durable!
Great saddle, its taken everything ive thrown at it on my DH bike. Multiple crashes and its straight as an arrow and still has zero tears in material. Took about 5 rides to break it in but will buy another one if i can ever bust this one!!!

Wonderful saddle at any price
I love this saddle. I own a Brooks B17 Imperial on my Xtracycle, and was considering a second for my Jamis touring bike but thought I'd give the Spoon a shot due to the great write-ups I had read. I am glad I did. It is different, indeed from the B17 Imperial, more agressive is the first thing I would note. It is okay for casual rides of a few miles but for more than that you'll need chamois. I prefer it on agressive, longer rides where it simply gives me the control I need while my weight is distributed more in my pedaling than in sitting on the perch. I just love it, and the brown looks nice on my touring bike with leather grip tape. It is nice not having cover it up or make sure it's locked up properly like my brooks. Very, very low maintenance.

Really looking forward to their new product, the SCOOP, which I have ordered for my fat bike.

The sort of saddle you forget about
This is the second one of these saddles I've bought - now I have one on both my commuter bike and my mountain bike.
They are well priced and they seem to suit my rear end fairly well.

Awesome saddle, great shape!
Great shape to this saddle; especially for folks who dislike WTB's shapes / have wider sit bones. Very light, comfortable and flexible. Construction is equal to saddles costing more than twice as much, built as good or better than any WTB, Selle San etc, Bontrager, etc.

Plus, it's got a very clean and uncluttered look to it. ;)

Great saddle, killer price!
This is just a top notch deal hands down! Super lightweight, great looks as well. I was worried that it would b uncomfortable but that concern was put to rest. I also noticed others complaints that the black seat was to grippy. Well I always wear baggy shorts and I'm always standing up and moving behind the seat. Never once did I catch on the lip of it. Way to go Charge, looks narrow but is still comfortable!

very comfortable seat
I replaced my specialized seat with this, night and day difference. It is very comfortable for having light padding. The shape of the seat makes long rides a breeze. Don't expect a pillow either, its like any seat. Albeit, for the price it's worth it. The brown looks like saddle leather and matches my vans gum grips.

Looks great in brown!
I got the Spoon saddle from Jenson several years ago and I still love it. Its mountend on a phantom silver + red bits Vassago Bandersnatch.

Saddle needs to be broken into though, it is very stiff. Took me several rides to break it in/get used to it. It is not plush compared to the WTB it replaced but the brown with white stitching looks great.

Its still holding great, no tearing or fraying of the threads despite of a few crashes and over 1200 miles ridden.
