Enduro mountain bikes are an extremely popular genre of mountain bike. They have much longer front and rear suspension travel when compared to a trail bike. The frame geometry is also much slacker making them perfect for fast and stable descents. Unlike downhill bikes, enduro bikes pedal well with minimal bob as you climb. Conquer all aspects of the trail with an enduro bike.
An enduro mountain bike is a highly aggressive mountain bike with long suspension travel, a robust frame, and a slack frame geometry. They are perfect for technical terrain, tight switchbacks, and descending as fast as you can. They can be used for enduro racing or just having fun out on the trails.
Enduro mountain bikes are used for the most demanding terrain out there. Rocky terrain, roots, drop-offs, steep descents, and technical terrain are all easily handled with an enduro bike. Riders who want a bike that can conquer anything love riding enduro bikes.
An enduro mountain bike has much longer suspension travel than a trail bike. Enduro bikes often have 150mm to 180mm of travel while a trail MTB usually has 120mm to 140mm of travel. While trail bikes can descend quickly, an enduro mountain bike is much more stable on those steep and rocky descents.
There are many brands that make exceptional enduro mountain bikes. Brands like Yeti, Santa Cruz, Evil, and Norco all have enduro bikes that can be used for the most demanding terrain and even racing. Bikes like the Yeti SB165 are slacker than most DH bikes, are dual crown compatible, and have a unique rear suspension design that isolates braking forces from suspension.
Enduro bikes can be used by anyone, but they are designed for riders who want to do the most aggressive riding out there. Those that are just starting out and want to do more casual riding might benefit more from a trail bike or cross-country bike. However, an enduro bike can grow with a rider as they venture into more treacherous terrain.
