Need Gear Advice?
Our Gear Advisors are Ready to Help.
At JensonUSA, we have bikes of all capabilities and intended uses. Whether you are looking to cruise around town, shred your local dirt trails, or race between the tape, we have the bike for you. Biking comes in many different forms and it can be difficult to know which style of riding and what type of bike best suits you. Contact one of our Gear Advisors today and they will get you set up with everything you need to get out and ride.
Out of all bikes, the most popular form of biking would be mountain biking. Mountain biking takes many forms, but the most popular subcategory is trail riding. Trail bikes can come in the form of a hardtail or full suspension bike and are do-it-all machines that are confident in almost any terrain. A trail bike usually has between 120 and 140mm of travel and their frames are most commonly aluminum alloy or carbon fiber. Trail bikes are versatile machines that can handle all types of terrains and can get away with riding all types of trails.
The most important factor when choosing a bike is deciding what type of riding you want to do and what kinds of terrain you will be riding in most frequently. Beginner mountain bike riders should consider whether a hardtail, a full suspension, or a rigid bike would best suit the type of trails they are trying to ride. An advanced rider would consider frame geometries, suspension systems, and component configurations when choosing a new bike.
While the choice between tire size may be personal preference, frame size is not so much. All bikes will come with different-sized frames for shorter or taller riders. You should always choose a bike that you are within the manufacturer's specified height range. Some riders may find themselves in between sizes. In this case, you should choose the smaller frame size for a more agile and lively feel and go for the next size up if you prefer a more stable and in-control ride. As for tire size, most taller adult riders tend to ride 29” bikes due to being more relative to their size, however, mountain bike tire sizes are not height-specific and are more of a personal preference. Check out our Bike Sizing Guide to find yours!
Numerous brands make quality bikes of all disciplines. Whether you're looking for a road, gravel, hardtail, full-suspension bike, or even an E-bike, you can trust brands like Marin, Norco, Yeti, and Santa Cruz.
Beginners don't need the lightest bike with the best carbon fiber and component build. Beginners should be focused on getting a bike that best suits them for the type of riding they will be doing most often. Quality bikes on a budget come from brands like Diamondback, Batch, and Marin.
Only up to three bikes can be compared at once.

Clay, Tamas and Chandler hit the 2026 BWR race in San Diego and little did they know one of them would be coming back with a medal!
Every rider wants the most speed, comfort, and confidence for the least cash—that’s the dream equation. And after thousands of miles of tinkering, testing, and yes, fixing flats on the side of the road, I’ve narrowed it down: three upgrades that punch way above their price tag. None of them are flashy carbon showpieces, but they’re the kinds of moves you’ll feel every time you ride
It's that time of year... the weather is getting colder and wetter on the daily, leading to some adverse conditions out on the trails. Although we don't condone riding in conditions that will destroy the trails that people have put tons of time and effort into building, sometimes you end up in situations where you don't have much of a choice but to ride.

As the Tour de France is by far the most iconic and well-known bike race in the world, it also receives the most media attention and coverage. For this reason, the tour is the most likely cycling event to reach out and grab the attention of cyclists and non-cyclists alike, who may not regularly follow the pro road cycling calendar. Any new viewer will be quick to find out that the tour can be rather difficult to fully understand, as there is a plethora of dynamics that make up the racing. Every July, a new wave of curious viewers may need some basic decoding in order to fully understand everything there is to love about this epic race. Think of this guide as a “how-to” on watching the Tour de France. After all, road racing has been called “chess on wheels.”
We get a lot of questions about e-bikes, especially the Orbea Rise, so we figured we’d throw up a quick long-term review of one from one of the employees here at Jenson, Alex. Alex lives up in the mountains here in Southern California and has to do a fair bit of climbing and pedaling around at his local trail system to get to trails. Because he is in such high elevation, oxygen levels are different and make it a bit more difficult to breathe. This alone made it hard for him to enjoy long rides, especially when temperatures drop and snow season arrives.
The Norco Optic and Sight are a couple of the most popular trail and all-mountain bikes available, respectively. New for 2024, Norco has completely updated their suspension platform, moving from a traditional 4-bar design to a high-pivot 4-bar design to increase versatility. No matter how much travel you choose, a high pivot bike will be able to punch above its weight class.
